Beautifully presented as a prominent feature of the newly established Merrifield Community precinct, Greenleaves Early Learning centre, in Melbourne’s outer north, was a massive undertaking, especially as it was nestled within a mixed-use and swim school hub.
Greenleaves is an interactive multi-level centre with scapes that wrap the building, highlighting the rich green and earthy hues of the area. The building blocks for the interactive play areas are tones of honey coloured cedar in the forts and arbours and red clay stone feature boulders, contrasting the semi mature planter box flora.
Sensory paths capturing crazy pave, cobbles and pebble pave surfacing butt against the building apron, providing sensory enhancement to the learning element whilst the grow wall and egg planters style the space to level up to a more sophisticated aesthetic.
Combining creative educational play and award winning architecturals, this space is stunning!
